In a battle of the blinds, Yijei Zhang limped in, and Kyle Prior raised to 2,750,000. Zhang called, and the flop came down [Jd][9h][7d].
Zhang check called a bet of 2,250,000 from Prior, and the [3h] came on the turn. This time Zhang elected to lead out for 10 million in gold plaques, a bet that represented Prior’s remaining stack. He tanked for a bit before calling with [Kh][9d], and it was a good call, as Zhang showed [Qh][2h].
A queen or heart would still work for Zhang though, and the [7h] did come on the river to strengthen his chip lead and send a frustrated Prior to the rail in ninth place.
