Marc Fiorentino and Joseph Everett were close to even in chips when they took a look at the numbers. They then agreed to an even chop, giving Fiorentino the banner and trophy for the win. However, in a gesture of good sportsmanship, Fiorentino offered Everett the trophy since Fiorentino will be getting the banner photo, his second of the year to go along with the Mini Mega Millions Event.
For Everett, it’s an incredible return to the poker scene, playing in his first event in 14 years. Everett took an extended break from poker to focus on family and career, and make a big splash in his return, earning $145,000. The banner, and the first place money, belong to Fiorentino, who earned $145,010 for his victory.
Congratulations to Fiorentino on a truly incredible accomplishment, and stay tuned for a post-victory interview to be posted later this week.
