On the final hand of the tournament, Phil Laak and Behzad Teranie were heads up on a flop of Qc][6s][2s]. Laak check-called a bet of two million, and the [9h] came on the turn. This time, Laak check called five million, and the [2d] came on the river.
Laak checked a third time, and after Teranie moved all in, Laak snap called with [Qd][9s] for top two pair. Teranie could only show [8s][5s] for missed draws, and he headed to the rail in second for $250,450. However, the Mega Millions title, the banner on the wall, and $380,245 of cold hard cash is going home with Phil Laak!
