Blinds: 500,000/1,000,000

After losing a big pot on the hand before, Chris Coate open-shoved for his last 8,500,000 in the cutoff. Phongthep Thiptinnakop tossed in one chip to signify a call, and it folded to Andrew Wall in the big blind. He thought for a bit before moving all in over the top for over 20 million.

Thiptinnakop asked for a count, and cut the total out of his stack to see that he barely had Wall covered. After about three minutes of tanking, Thiptinnakop called to make the biggest pot of the tournament by far.

Thiptinnakop: [As][Kd]

Wall: [Qd][Qs]

Coate: [Ks][10c]

The flop of [10d][9][3h] hit Coate, but Wall still had the lead on the hand, until the [Ac] came on the turn. Suddenly, Thiptinnakop was in prime position to score the massive double knockout, and the [7c] river confirmed it.

The pot puts Thiptinnakop into a big lead with over 60 million, while the remaining field gets a nice pay jump after that hand.

Chris Coate – 8th place

Andrew Wall – 7th Place
