It was a truly dominating performance from the start of the final table to the end for Sami Bechahed, who claims yet another major title in what has been quite an impressive year and a half stretch for him. Bechahed finished runner up in the Mega Millions ran in August, and came back for revenge, going wire to wire (except for a small portion heads up) to take down this first installment of the Mini Mega Millions.
On the final hand, Michael Gonzalez would hold [Ks][7s], while Bechahed showed [Ad][6h]. The board ran down [Js][9c][4d]9d][Qh], and the ace high held for Bechahed.
Michael Gonzalez will take home an impressive $88,945 for his second-place finish, but the title, and first-place money of $155,540, is going home with the French poker pro Sami Bechahed.
Be on the lookout for a winner’s interview with Bechahed to be posted later this weekend, and thank you to everyone who came out to make the first Mini Mega Millions a massive success!
