Stephen Sakai started heads up with a 3:1 chip lead, and it only took a few hands for the two to get it all in preflop. Eddie Liu raised to 200,000, then snap called with Stehpen Sakai shoved. Liu showed pocket kings, and was in great shape to double against the eights shown by Sakai, but the [8s] popped right into the window on the flop, and a dejected Liu could only shake his head as the turn and river brought no help.
Liu will take home just under $38,000 for his efforts, while Sakai will take home the full first place prize of $62,795.
