On the final hand before the break, chip leader Pham Nguyen raised to 400,000, only to see Eider Da Cruz moved all in for 2,300,000 behind him. Nguyen thought for a bit before calling with [10h][10d], and he was in great shape to score the knockout against the [8c][8h] of Da Cruz.
However, the flop would come down [9c][8s][6h], giving Da Cruz a set. Nguyen could still win with a ten or seven, but the board finished out [3s] and [6d], giving Da Cruz a full house, and double up to five million.
