Kim Doubles Through Homayun

On the first hand after the deal was made, the short stack Steven Kim got his chips in good pre-flop, holding [5s][5c], while the bigger stack Esa Homayun showed [Ad][3c].

“There’s always an ace on the flop right?” said a hopeful Homayun, but the ace never came, as the board ran down [Qc][Jh][4s][4d][6s]. Kim scores a big double up into the chip lead with nearly 54 million chips, while Homayun is now the short stack with about 13 million.
