New chip leader Jason Gallagher raised to 1,200,000, and former chip leader Zewdie Wondimagegn three-bet to 4,500,000. Gallagher called, and the flop came down [8d][4d][8s].
Gallagher checked to Wondimagegn, who quickly moved all in for 11,800,000. Gallagher immediately started cutting out chips for the call while he was getting the official count, and once he got the number, he announced call.
“Good call,” said Wondimagegn as he tabled [Jc][2d]. Gallagher was ahead with [10d][10s], and no jack came on the turn and river to secure Gallagher the knockout.
He is now heads up with Ed Alikhani, holding a lead of 38 million to 20 million.
