On the final hand of the tournament, Hratch Mkrtumyan raised to 2,500,000 and David Van Noy defended his big blind. Van Noy would then call a c-bet on the flop of [5d][4h][3h], and after the [7s] came on the turn, Mkrtumyan shoved for more than pot.
Van Noy quickly rechecked his cards, flipped them over, and called, showing [8d][6s] for the nut straight. Mkrtumyan had [Jh][7h], meaning a heart would still extend the event, but the [8c] came instead.
Hratch Mkrtumyan will settle for the second-place prize of $69,285, while the full first-place prize of $101,555 will be going home with David Van Noy.
