Action folded to short stack Rocco Itai in the small blind, and he limped in. Corey Brass raised to 1,500,000, and Itai thought for a bit before calling, leaving himself three million behind. The flop came [10c][7c][7s], and Itai checked to Brass, who bet four million. Itai quickly called for his tournament life with [Ac][7h], and Brass showed [Jc][10d] for top pair.
Only a ten would change things, but the board ran out [Qd] and [9d], giving Itai a double while putting a very small dent into Brass’s big stack.
