Busting out in 16th place was easily one of the most experienced players left in the field, the defending champion Sohale Khalili. He bet out 600,000 from early position, leaving himself just 20,000 behind. Action folded to Jonah Lopas in the big blind, and he shoved all in.
Khalili waited until the hand at the other table ended before he called it off with [7d][7s], and saw he was flipping against the [Ac][Ks] of Lopas. The flop of [Ad][9h][8s] shot Lopas into the lead, and while the [Jh] turn did bring a few more outs, the [3h] river was not one of them.
With that bustout, the remaining players each have $6,700 locked up.
