Bike regular Ed Alikhani had done an impressive job of laddering up the payouts while grinding a severe short stack, having just two big blinds when we got to 27 players. The flop of [10h][9h][5d] was clean for Alikhani, while a nine on the turn also brought some counterfeit outs. However, the [Kc] rolled off on the river, sending the triple over to Ace-King, while Alikhani took the tough beat in stride, wishing the table good luck as he left. He did make the most recent pay jump before busting, earning $3,300 for his 21st place finish.
