With the blinds sitting at 15,000/30,000, we just witnessed a huge pot that saw Eshaan Bhalla (pictured above) take down a big preflop showdown, though Bike regular and recent Big 4 Event runner up Quoc Le could have taken the overall chip lead had he made a call that ultimately would have been rewarded.
Action started with a short stack shoving all in for 230,000, and a call from Le on the button. The small blind shoved with a similar sized stack, and it was now on Eshaan Bhalla in the big blind. He thought it over for a bit before shoving all in for 760,000, which sent Le deep into the tank.
Eventually, he folded what he said was a big ace, and saw that for now he had made the right fold, as the short stacks showed [10c][9d] and [8d][8c], while Bhalla had the best of it with [Kh][Kd].
Le immediately let out a sigh when the flop of [Ad][4c][3h] came down which would have given him the lead. As it was though, the kings of Bhalla were still good, and he kept that lead through the [5h] turn and [Ac] river. Bhalla collected the double knockout, shooting his stack back up to over 1,500,000, which is nearly double the average at the moment.
