Action folded to big stack Thu Nguyen (pictured below) on the button, and he raised to 250,000. Fausto Valdez (pictured above) was in the big blind, and he moved all in for 1,400,000. Nguyen quickly called with [8h][8d], and Valdez tabled [Ah][4h] and said “I gotta stand for this one.”
The flop brought plenty of action, coming [Jd][10h][7h], giving Valdez the nut flush draw. He picked up more outs on the [Ks] turn, as a queen would give him broadway now, but it was too many outs syndrome, as the [4s] river was not enough to beat the snowmen of Nguyen, who strengthens his chip lead with that pot.
