We are on the verge of reaching the final two tables, and we just saw two of the biggest names left in the event do battle in a massive pot that has seen Jared Griener (pictured above) jump up into the top five counts.
Four players saw a flop of [6d][3c][3h] when action checked to Griener, who fired 600,000. Rubin Chappell was on the button, and he minraised to 1,200,000. The other two players folded, but Griener stuck in the call, and both players checked on the [9s] turn. The river brought another six, the [6s], and Griener led out for 2,800,000, which was most of his stack. Chappell shoved all in, and Griener quickly called off his final 700,000 and showed [9h][9c] for a turned full house.
Chappell could only shake his head as he showed [Ah][6h] for an inferior full house, and he sent a majority of his stack over to Griener, who is up to over 11 million after that hand.
