Rob Gill raised to 400,000, and Yuekai Liu three bet to 1,150,000. Daniel Higginson was in the big blind, and had already committed a chunk of his stack before he called off the rest of it. Liu would then bet 400,000 into the side pot after the flop came [As][Kd][Qs]. Gill said he was folding a pocket pair, then didn’t seem very pleased when Liu showed [8c][8s] for an under pair to the flop.
Higginson was thrilled to show he was in great shape now with [Qh][Jd], but while the turn changed nothing, the [8h] came on the river, giving Liu a set of eights, and the unlikely KO.
