It was a bit of an abbreviated day here at the Bike, as it took just under 9 hours to get down to the final 60 players today. Rubin Chappell maintains the chip lead he held for quite some time today, bagging up 5,800,000. Former Jeopardy champion Ryan Hemmel is in second with just under 4,500,000.
They will have plenty of stiff competition to contend with on Tuesday, including a former Mini Mega Millions winner Sami Bechahed (1,885,000), former Mega Millions Champions Boris Goldstein (2,600,000), Phuoc Nguyen (1,175,000), and Esa Homayun (410,000), and Massoud Eskandari, looking for his second major title here this series after winning the $400,000 Guaranteed Event a couple weeks ago.
Remember, a fresh crop of players will be coming back tomorrow for the Day 2B restart, and after today’s sessions, we will cross the guarantee early on in play tomorrow. Good luck everyone!
