Wild Hand Sees Young Sik Eum Triple Up

By August 14, 2024No Comments

Normally we wait until the final table to bring you guys some hand histories, but given the slow pace of play due to the deep stacks, we thought we’d share a roller coaster hand that we just watched between Young Sik Eum, Matt Salsberg, and Kevin Babayan.

Action started with Young Sik Eum moving all in for 4,800,000 from last position. Matt Salsberg moved all in over the top, and in the big blind, Kevin Babayan also moved all in.

Sik Eum: [Ac][10c]

Salsberg: [Kc][Ks]

Babayan: [Jc][Jh]

The window card was the [Jd] on the [Jd][5c][4c] flop, giving Babayan top set, Sik Eum a flush draw, and leaving Salsberg kings well behind now. The [9s] turn didn’t change anything, but the [7c] came on the river to give Sik Eum the full triple up.

He is now up to 15 million after that hand, Babayan took the side pot to get up to six million, and the big stack on the hand, Matt Salsberg, is now one of the short stacks with 7,000,000.
