Blinds: 40,000/80,000
Alfredo Melero moved all in from middle position for his final 950,000, and action folded to Haik Kyurumyan, who was in the big blind with just a few blinds more. He went into the tank for a while, saying at one point, “I have a big ace.” Eventually, he spiked his chips in the middle, only to see a monster from Melero, [Qs][Qd]
Kyurumyan held [As][10h], and it was quickly a coin flip after the flop of [Js][10s][9s] gave Kyurumyan a pair and the nut flush draw. The [4s] came right on the turn, giving Kyurumyan the nut flush, and he started to celebrate. However, Melero called for the eight of spades, as that (and the king of spades) would give Melero the hand back with a straight flush. The river was close, but it was the [7s], giving Kyurumyan the virtual double up, and the knockout.
