Scott Aulds raised to 700,000, and Thu Nguyen, who had just retaken the chip lead, moved all in. Aulds thought for about 30 seconds before calling with [Jc][10c], and he saw he was dominated by the [As][Js] of Nguyen.
The flop of [Ac][9h][8s] connected with both players, giving Nguyen top pair, but also giving Aulds straight draw outs. The [4h] turn changed nothing, but he [Qd] river changed everything.
“You’ve got nine lives over there man,” said Nguyen, who had Aulds on the ropes earlier before he found a suckout to double up as well. That means we play on, with Aulds retaking the chip lead.
