There were a flurry of eliminations in the last 30 minutes that has led to an early ending in tonight’s play, including Eshaan Bhalla and Matt Salsberg both busting on the final hand of the night to get us to just 59 players. Sarkis Arutiunian bagged the biggest stack overall with 6,690,000 in chips, but arguably the biggest story is Oganez Mkrtychyan. He was part of the five way chop in this event in March, and negotiated to get the winner’s photo and banner for this event, and he looks to be in good shape to potentially final table this event again, as he also has one of the top stacks with 4,425,000.
Also advancing to the Day 3 finals are Anthony Marquez, Quoc Le, Marc Fiorentino, and Sami Bechahed, amongst others. Remember that a fresh crop of players will be here for tomorrow’s Day 2B restart, where all the Day 2 buy-ins will be adding on to the prizepool, which is already over one million dollars.
