Former champion of this event Esa Homayun (pictured above) is continuing the momentum from his final table run in the $300,000 Guaranteed Event last weekend, as he is once again gearing up for a deep run and a possible second crown in this event. Well Homayun just got his final 700,000 and change in the middle holding pocket jacks, and he was flipping against the Ace-Queen of his opponent, who had him covered by just a bit.
The board ran down ten high, and the Jacks held to shoot him up to over an average stack. On another table, big stacks Matthew McEwan and Bo Chen were clashing on a board showing [Js][10s][6h][5s][Jh]. Chen checked to McEwan, who fired 325,000, and Chen tanked called, only to see McEwan roll over [5h][5d] for a full house.
