Anthony Denove and Hermilo “Taxi” Vargas were heads up on a flop of [Js][7h][3h] when the two got all of Vargas’s chips in the middle. He was holding [Kh][9h], and wasn’t in great shape against the [Kd][Jd] of Denove, as a king was now no good for Vargas.
The [Qs] turn gave him a few extra outs, and he would hit both of them on the [10h] river, giving him a straight and a flush, both of which beat Denove.
Vargas is now one of the bigger stacks with six million, while Denove is the short stack now with 1,500,000.
